Traits Of A Leader | Exceed Your Limits! Self Improvement Tips | Self ...

Being A Leader

When taking the role of a leadership, being able to give command just doesn?t cut it. Too often, many people are drawn to believe that to become a leader, one must act like one? give out orders, criticize on everything, and draw into this belief that they are this superior being amongst everyone else. Quickly thinking like this will not make anyone a leader?and if someone happens to be following someone like this, it?s either because they were forced to, or that it?s only a matter of time before they stop following.

In this world there are two types of people: those who are followers and those who leaders. Which one are you? Keep in mind that there is no disgrace following, because at one point, following is something that will transfer into leadership.

Everyone wants to be a leader, but what exactly makes a leader great? We all head the term

He has the mind of a leader

But that doesn?t necessarily mean he is a great leader, does it? If I went up and said to someone ?He?s as good as they come.? Does that simply mean that the next person can?t be just as great? Of course not.

To become a leader, you must have the will to obtain the attributes of one. These attributes are: Willingness to accept full responsibility, cooperation, a definite plan, being well liked, confidence in decision, over-achieving, and a sense of justice.

It should be noted that to gain these attributes, it is usually done by following a leader. Here?s the rare exception; while following a leader, only those who follow intelligently will then be permitted to develop these traits. As simple as it is, if you cannot follow someone as a role model for the time being, how are you expected to lead and set yourself to be a role model to others?

Leaders were once intelligent followers who take knowledge in from their own leader. Being able to learn from someone, you will always have the answer behind your reasoning, which is one of the most important things when taking on the role of a leadership.

Leaders know when things happen

Other times, there will be followers who earned the title of being a leader, and quickly lose it. The first major cause is emphasizing that you are a leader. Great leaders do not brag about their status. They are not selfish about claiming the honor of being labeled as one. Instead, authentic leaders rather give recognition to their followers because without them, they would not be leaders.

Not only are leaders willing to pass up recognition for themselves, they are also willing to accept any responsibility that may arise within their followers. Followers are rarely willingly to accept their responsibilities. A leader who takes it away from them not only relief their stress, the followers are more inclined to like the leader, which is another important trait: Being liked.

No one will listen nor follow another person if they do not favor him in the first place. The things with leader is, they hold this trait that makes everyone like and respect them. Being a leader is about doing tasks that others aren?t willingly or wanting to do, and always knowing what to do?and how to do it. Many times, people need to be given directions. A leader who knows exactly what and how his next plan is going to execute will win the minds of many. In order to be a successful leader, you need to be aware of what is going on, and what will being going on at all times.

It is better to lead from behind and to put others in front, especially when you celebrate victory when nice things occur. You take the front line when there is danger. Then people will appreciate your leadership.

So how are you sure if you?re going to be a good leader? Ask yourself this:

Are you willing to provide service that has not been experienced? If so, then you accept that you will perform any kind of task without any hesitation, even if you are uncomfortable with it.

Are you willing to organize your time? Because never is a leader ever ?too busy? with his time to help his followers. Even with the tightest schedule, leaders always find time between to give aid.

Do you have self-discipline? ?A lot of time, many have grown to the idea of obeying someone?s rule rather than their own. For example, when you are working for someone and you happen to be sick, it is much harder to say to your boss ?I?m sick and I deserve a day off?, rather than if you were your own boss and you gave yourself a day off because there are no consequences. Similarly, to be a leader, you still must obey your own rule and set your own parameter of discipline.

Everywhere you go, there are leaders in disguise; managers in the food industry, managers of shopping stores, coaches for sports, and even players in sports. Being a leader, you do gain recognition, but that is not the primary reason to become one. You become a leader because the credit of being one is worth it, and you are the type that desire to accept responsibility on a higher scale. You desire nothing less than accepting a role that takes you and your status to a whole new level. If you have any strong urge for all of these traits, perhaps you will become a leader one day?but remember that it only happens when you are an intelligent follower.
